At Languages United, we run a weekly student-led event called Foodie Fridays!
Each week, a student is tasked to cook or make a dish found in their home country. This dish is shared amongst the other students during their Friday morning break. After everyone has eaten, the student who cooked that dish will then nominate another student to cook for next Friday.
Since the creation of the event, we have had a variety of dishes, such as tiramisu, tortilla de patata, and lemon meringue!
The goal of Foodie Fridays is to encourage cross-cultural links and understanding. As well as this, it allows students to be creative in the kitchen and have fun at the same time.
