Getting to Bath
Bath is in the South West of England, and there are a number of options to get to the city by plane, train, car/taxi and coach.
As a Green Standard School, we encourage sustainable travel wherever possible, and the UK has great train and bus networks.

Train
Bath is well-connected by train with London, Bristol, Cardiff, Portsmouth and many other cities.
There is a direct train service from London Paddington to Bath which takes 90 minutes.
Bath Spa railway station is in the city centre, 10-15 minutes' walk from our school.
You can buy tickets at the train station or online.
Flights
The nearest international airports are:
- Bristol (BRS), 19 miles
- Cardiff (CWL), 70 miles
- London Heathrow (LHR), 100 miles
- London City (LCY), 122 miles
- London Luton (LTN), 129 miles
- London Gatwick (LGW), 136 miles
Many budget airlines fly to Bristol from European cities.
London Heathrow is the closest airport for long-haul international flights.
For those travelling long distances to Europe, you might be able to reduce the cost of travel by flying to another European city with a connecting flight to Bristol.
From Bristol Airport, you can take the A4 Airport Flyer bus directly to Bath city centre.
From London Heathrow, you can take a National Express coach directly to Bath.

Taxi
We can arrange taxi transfers for your arrival and departure.
This includes a 'meet and greet' service where the taxi driver meets you in the Arrivals area of the airport, and can drive you directly to your accommodation.
The taxi driver can also offer check-in assistance on departure for under-18s.

Coach/bus
Bath Bus Station in the city centre is just 10-15 minutes' walk from the school.
From there, you can get local buses around the Bath and Bristol area.
National Express and Flixbus operate coach services to Bath from central London and London Heathrow Airport.
Car
The M4 motorway joins Bath to London in the East and nearby Wales in the West. The M5 links the city with the Heart of England to the North and Somerset, Devon and Cornwall to the South.
