Described as a pioneering English cook and hailed as the "queen of the dinner party," Hannah Glasse would have been 310 on March 28.
Glasse was the author of one of the most popular 18th-century cookery books, “The Art of Cookery Made Plain and Easy”. She is thought to have invented the Yorkshire Pudding, a delicious part of the traditional British Sunday lunch, which is still enjoyed today.
In her honour, Google is changing its logo in more than 16 countries to a doodle showing her baking Yorkshire puddings.
