Homestay Accommodation

Staying in a homestay is a great way to practise and improve your English as well as make new friends and meet new people. You will be treated as a member of the household, eating together and sharing common living areas.

For adults, accommodation is provided in single rooms, that is not sharing with someone else. Junior students typically share a room with students from other countries. However, on request, juniors can share with other juniors from the same group. Even with this request, some students of other nationalities may still be roommates, depending on the room capacity of the homestay. The number of students sharing will depend on the room size but is limited to four. Friends and families can share by request at the time of booking. Private bathrooms and special diets are also available on request at an additional cost.

Accommodation for adults is provided on a half-board basis (breakfast and evening meal). Junior students on a package course that includes accommodation will be provided with three meals per day (breakfast, lunch and evening meals).

Students will normally travel to and from their homesty accommodation using public transport (local buses), unless the house is within walking distance. Please note that bus passes are not included within your course unless it is part of an agreed package.

The following will be provided for all students:

  • A clean tidy room with a desk or table (or another room providing these).
  • Adequate storage for clothes.
  • A comfortable bed.
  • Change of bed linen every two weeks.
  • Laundry is cleaned by the host once per week for machine washable clothes.
  • Facility to have a shower every day with adequate hot water and towels available.
  • Sufficient light and heat.

All our homestay accommodation is organised by our own Accommodation Team. Homestays are regularly inspected by our team and have specific criteria that they must satisfy.
