If candidates achieve an average score of 60% or more in Speaking & Listening or 50% or more in Listening, Reading, Writing and/or Speaking, they will be awarded the corresponding LanguageCert International ESOL certificate(s), regardless of whether they have reached UKVI target scores in each of the language skills tested.
IELTS Academic, IELTS General Training and IELTS Life Skills are accepted by the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) as proof of English proficiency for those wishing to live, work and study in the UK.
The tests are available throughout the world, in locations specified by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI). You must sit the test in an 'IELTS for UKVI' test session.
The 'IELTS for UKVI' test session has to meet UKVI administrative requirement, otherwise there are no differences in the test format or questions. The actual test taken is the same – same content, examiners, format, level of difficulty, scoring and so on.
