Hello and welcome to languages United grammar point of the week. Today we're going to be looking at the past simple.

 We use the past simple to describe finished actions in the past for example :

 I woke up at six o'clock in the morning.

 As we can see from this timeline, the past simple just describe an action that has finished in the past.
